Bill Bailey has been the President of Southern Financial Services for 35 years. He is also the President of 1031 Exchange Services, LLC which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Financial Services. Bill is a graduate from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business Administration. Bill has been actively engaged in the Tax Planning, Estate Planning and Exchange Accommodation Industry for more than 3 decades. As a planning professional, he brings an extraordinary level of knowledge and experience to the clients of both companies.

Bill had conducted hundreds of seminars throughout the United States dealing with Tax Planning, Estate Planning and 1031 Exchanges. He also teaches continuing education classed to Attorneys, CPA’s and Real Estate Professionals. He works with numerous Law Firms, CPA Firms and Real Estate Firms in assisting them with the intricacies of structuring 1031 Exchanges and implementing Tax Planning Strategies.

Bill is an FEA Board member and the Secretary/Treasurer of the FEA. He serves as Chair of the FEA Finance Committee and also serves on the FEA Ethics Committee. He is a former member of the CES Council and former Southeastern Regional V.P. of the FEA. He has previously served as Chair of the CES Ethics Committee, Chair of the FEA Marketing Committee and a member of the FEA Small Business Resource Committee.

1031 Exchange Services provides a full range of Qualified Intermediary and Exchange Accommodation Title Holder Services for Real Estate and Personal Property transactions. They specialize in complex and complicated transactions, including Construction, Improvement, Reverse and Non-Safe Harbor Exchanges.
